THE SWISS JAZZ QUINTET
TELL’S SHOT
Gold Records
– LP 11 117, Switzerland - 1980
Two weeks holiday in Brussels involving more
cratedigging, a presentation at the Sweet & Hot Jazz Club on Friday and recovering from a 60th Birthday party (mine!) this Saturday. Great party with a superb live band (alto sax,
guitar, acoustic bass, drums), lotsa friends and plenty Belgian Beer (I drank Brown Grimbergen, smooth and no headache the day after!).
Today I took it easy and managed to find a bit of time to post
El Reza’s second contribution to the Boogieman’s Blog. A fairly rare album, at least outside Switzerland: The Swiss Jazz Quintet – Tell's Shot
I haven’t
found much info on this album on the Web.
Excellent music though, this album should please fans of late 70s Eurojazz with modal and soul jazz touches !
