ALBERT MANGELSDORFF - ATTILA ZOLLER
"JAZZ SALON DORTMUND 1957 VOL.3"
45 RPM - METRONOME 1136
August already, time is flying! onxidlib sent me a rip of this rare EP a good while ago. Paul D. did some cleaning. It's probably as clean as it will ever get.
So here is the third instalment of Jazz Salon Dortmund -1957.
Albert Mangelsdorff, trombone
Attila Zoller, guitar
A1. Early Piece (Zoller)
A2. To Give (Mangelsdorff - Zoller)
B1. I Walk (Mangelsdorff)
B2. Ballade (Mangelsdorff)
Recorded at the German Jazz-Salon, Fritz-Henssler-Haus, Dortmund, Germany on March 15, 1957 (Saturday afternoon).
METRONOME MEP 1136
Note: On the cover Emil Mangelsdorff is credited, but the music and the liner-notes confirm that Albert is playing.

(With thanks to the usual suspects: onxidlib & Paul D.)

Yeehaw! More Zoller, more Krautjazz, many thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe most obvious "proof" that Albert Mangelsdorff plays on this EP is the cover itself. Sometimes the nearest is the most distant ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you onxidlib & Paul D - more German Jazz - until recently a very dark corner unlit - thanks for the education
ReplyDeleteThank You very much, especially for Zoller!
