BABS ROBERT & THE LOVE PLANET
(BELGIUM, 1970)
Often quoted or referred to by cratediggers and collectors but seldom seen and rarely heard. Here it is again, the Holy Grail of Belgium Jazz!
Please refer to the original post for info,
(this time the tracks are separated).

ReplyDeleteHi Boogieman
ReplyDeletei have got question can you mail me at
klinkhamerrecords@gmail.com
i would like to know what was the other album
in the same line as Raphael,Babs Robert & the Love Planet
Brussels Art Quintet
i read on your blog there was another album released in the same period with most likely same players
But know i can't find it anymore
please let me know
Hi Bossagrooves,
ReplyDeleteI can't see either. Robert Pernet also did a couple of sides with Philip Catherine and worked with COS.
Johnny Peret: if you have the Raphael, and the Love Planet albums you have almost everything. He's also on two tracks on the Jazz in Little Belgium 25 cm.
Perhaps you're refering to Hein Huysmans Kwintet which seems pretty elusive. It was recorded on a label specialising on Decap Organ music. I've never heard it myself.
I don't have Pernet's autoritative Belgian discography with me here but I'm pretty sure that's it.
Cheers

Oh no! This expired and I wanted to hear it badly. Would anyone be so kind to re-up the album? No matter what: thanks Boogieman for putting this online in the first place....
