Hi E-mile, no problem! I won't be able to rip those albums for a while as I am back working abroad and only go back to Belgium for short holidays that don't leave me much time for ripping LP.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it is not Merl's first solo release. The fist one is Merl Saunders Trio and Big Band which is a straight soul jazz session, on Galaxy (America in France / Belgium). It is also in my list of things to post. Perhaps in September, I'll be home for a week.
Cheers
p.s.:
E-mile, p.s.: could you share the link or indicathe the blog source, it may interest others - although, considering the number of comments ... :-)
ReplyDeleteBM, actually I found it on slsk, but I will be more than glad to up it again myself for all (?)
ReplyDeleteeurhm, let's call it convenience [:-)
I get back to you soon with a link
thanks for all your hard work inbetween all the hard work!
peace, E-mile
PS: I know, if you count the number of downloads and divide that with the number of comments, you get a certain ratio we wish our cars would run on.............on my little baby blog the record stans for over 250 dl's vs. 2 comments, now THAT should save the world economy, right?
here it is:

ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, I haven't listened to this album for a good while. That's the problem when working overseas, can't take my record collection with me. Thank you for making me re-discover my own LPs.

Enjoy and say thanks to whoever posted it.
I saw them in Liege the day after this Montreux concert and they were fabulous. Gato Barbieri was on the same bill but it was crap after the fabulous mcCann's set.
thanks for the Saunders LP... :)
