FRANKFURT ALL STARS
"CITY JAZZ"
FRANKFURT MAIN-STREAMS
(double LP Telefunken 6.28341 DP, Germany, 1976)
Guys, you can send a big word of thank to onxidlib who sent me this superb double album which features “la crème” of the German Jazz in the Seventies. Just have a look a the names below.
You will need a bit of patience, uploading two LPs in FLAC is a lengthy process when one lives on the Southern shore of the Mediterranean.
Here is the track list and the details of the sessions. Beautiful music with a definite Seventies / Eurojazz feel. If you’re into European Jazz of this period – MPS & all – you’ll dig this one.

ReplyDeleteToday 105 people checked this page and a good deal did download the file. Not one single visitor bothered to enter a comment. What does this say about the state of the world?

ReplyDeleteThis is internet, everything's for free and leaving a comment would almost feel like paying...
ReplyDeleteKind of sad as digitizing vinyl is so damn time consuming whereas leaving a comment is just a matter of some seconds.
Well, thanks a lot for this great album. Had it on my ebay-watchlist for a while and somehow lost sight of it. Thankfully onxidlib grabbed it and you posted it - respect!
Btw zoot is right about the captchas, I find them almost impossible to read these days.
hadn't been visiting here for a while, and now i see this yummie looking 70's german swing monster here, thanks "Bill Dixon" (yes he knows what I mean) for all your hard work and Boogieman too ofcourse, for a chance to play this very loud!
ReplyDeletemerci beaucoup.
peace, E-mile
PS the general lack of comments is a modern day & age disease, maybe the next generation will have manners again [;-)
btw: captcha is a mother indeed...
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. This is a great blog and your work is very much appreciated.
ReplyDeletePuisque nous sommes à la Toussaint et que tu veux des fleurs, en voici une pleine brassée pour un double album tout simplement superbe. Un grand merci à Oxydlib tant pour la musique que pour la qualité du transfert.

ReplyDeleteboogieman, if and when you have time could you repost this please. mp3 @ 320 is good enough for me. Thanks
ReplyDeleteDear Boogieman,
ReplyDeleteI would also like to ask for a reup.
I do not find my rip anymore - and doing a new is - as you know - somewhat time consuming.
I would prefer in flac ;-)
However - as you find some time. Cheers
Hello everyone,
ReplyDeleteby popular request, here is a new link (FLAC files). With renewded thanks to Ernst for ripping the 2 LPs almost 5 years ago. Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like bananas (Groucho Marx). . !! FLAC = Big file (462 MB)!!

I'm in the process of reposting a maximum of rips but it's time-consuming. Patience! I may have to re-rip some if I did not keep the file.
REALLY GREAT!...very kind of you boogieman...
ReplyDeleteBIG THX!...
Thank you Ernst and Boogieman!
ReplyDeleteAnd re-thanks to you! I lost it in a crash of my hard-drive.
ReplyDeleteI realize that a thank you is a small return for the work it takes to post an album.
ReplyDeleteThank you boogieman & Thank you Ernst
Happy to have the rip again.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
